Successful Application for World Heritage on the Grand Canal: Introduction to the Development History of the Dagukou Fortress Exhibition
Recently, at the 38th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, the "China Grand Canal" was approved to be included in the The World Heritage List, becoming China's 46th World Heritage Site. The Dagukou Battery Site Museum, located at the end of the Grand Canal's entrance to the sea, has opened a large-scale temporary exhibition to introduce the development history of the Grand Canal.
It is understood that it is a great ancient project on the plains of eastern China. At the end of entering the sea, there is a unique geographical location that records a history of humiliation, which is Dagukou, guarding the entrance of the country. Recently, the Dagukou Battery Site Museum took the successful application of the Grand Canal for World Heritage as an opportunity to hold a large-scale temporary exhibition called "Flowing Canal - Picture Exhibition of the Dayun River in China", introducing the development history of the Grand Canal to visitors in detail. In conjunction with the "Entering the Museum" themed propaganda activity, the "Grand Canal Picture Exhibition" will be added to the museum's commentary, leading the public to understand the history of the canal.
